Brickwork

Initially it may be necessary to remove concrete spillage by chipping taking care to avoid damaging the surface.  Stubborn mortar stains may require wire brushing whilst the cleaner is on the surface.

Concrete Plant.

If concrete/cement is hardened it may be necessary to wire brush whilst the cleaner is on the surface or alternatively remove the excess prior to application taking care to avoid damaging the surface.

Application

The cleaner should be applied and washed off after a few minutes.  Long periods should not pass between application and washing off, especially in hot weather.  Do not allow the cleaner to dry on the surface.

Residual staining is often due to inadequate washing down.

Brickwork.

Apply liberally to contaminated surfaces by brush.  Leave for a few minutes and then wash off with clean, cold water, preferably by hose.  Always try a test patch first to ensure no attack on the mortar joints occur.  If attack does happen, dilute the cleaner with clean cold water.

Concrete Plant

Apply liberally to contaminated surfaces by brush.  Leave for a few minutes then thoroughly wash off with clean cold water, preferably by hose.  Subsequent treatment with mould oil or grease will prevent rust reforming.
