9. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
9.1 Preparation
All joints must be dry and clean. A forms of contamination must be removed. Damaged areas must be made good using Antel Epoxy Patching Mortar. Joint walls must be straight and parallel.
9.2 Joint backing
A suitable joint backing material should be inserted into the clean joint to provide the designed joint dimensions. Note the material must not be allowed to bond to the base of the joint.
9.3 Priming
The sides of the joint are now primed using Antel Primer Pitch Polyurethane taking care not to allow the primer to contaminate any of the surrounding areas. Masking tape will make for a neat finish. Allow at least 30 minutes for any solvent evaporation but not more than 2 hours before sealant application.
9.4 Mixing
Pour the entire contents of the pack B into the Pack A and mix thoroughly. Mixing is best carried out using a slow speed electric drill and a mixer paddle. Care must be taken not to entrain air. Mix thoroughly.
9.5 Application
the mixed material can be poured into the primed joint directly from the can. The sealant has some self levelling properties so that tooling is not usually required.
9.6 Cleaning
Cleaning of tools and equipment is carried out as soon as possible on completion of each session of work using Antel Cleaning Solvent.
