1.  DESCRIPTION

Antel High Modulus Silicone Sealant is a one part flexible acetoxy silicone based sealant.

2. USES

Can be used for a wide range of applications including all joints, both interior and exterior, in the building industry.  Universal bonding and sealing in the glazing industry. i.e show cases etc.

3.  PACKAGING        

310 ml plastic cartridge complete with nozzle.  Packaged 12 per box.

4.  COLOUR

White - Clear - Black - Grey - Brown

5.  STORAGE / SHELF LIFE           

Store in cool, dry conditions.  Protect from freezing.

Keep out of reach of children.

Shelf life - 12 months from date of shipment when stored below 32°C.  Previously opened cartridges may be used by simply removing the cured plug of sealant from the top of the nozzle.

6.  HEALTH & SAFETY

On contact, uncured silicone will irritate the eyes.  In case of contact, remove the sealant and flush eyes thoroughly with water.   If irritation persists seek medical attention.  Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact.  Until fully cured silicone releases acetic acid.  Ensure adequate ventilation during application.  KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

7.  APPLICATION

All surfaces must be dry, clean and free from grease before applying the silicone.  Some surfaces may require priming.  Adhesion tests are recommended to determine necessity.

The following values are not intended for use in preparing specifications.

·         Remains permanently elastic after curing.

·         Does not shrink.

·         Keeps its colour and is waterproof.

·         Resists most chemicals and solvents.

·         Is non toxic after curing.

·         Has very good adhesion to glass and all commonly used building materials.

·         Resists temperatures ranging from -60°C to +200°C

·         Skinning at +20°C and 65% RH - 8/9 minutes

·         Curing at +20°C and 65% RH - 1.5 mm per 24 hours

·         Hardness Shore A - 20

·         Elongation at break -% - Min 500% DIN 53504

·         Breaking Strength - 1.6N/mm² DIN53504

·         E-Modulus 100% - 0.34N/mm² DIN 53504

·         Permeable to water vapour - 2.8 G/M² per 24 hours

·         (10 mm joint thickness)

·         Processing Temperature - +1°C to +30°C
