1. DESCRIPTION
Antel water based epoxy floor paint is a two pack pigmented
floor paint recommended for use over high alumina concrete and
other fresh concrete and alkaline surfaces such as chalk, marble
and limestone chips..
2. USES
Offices, factories, abattoirs etc.
3. PACKAGING
1 litre, 2.5 litre and 5 litre cans.
4. COLOUR
Specific colours can be supplied upon request, within reason.
Dark colours are currently recommended as UV stability information
is unavailable at present.
5. USAGE RATE
5 litres will cover 30m² (substrate - primed paving slab)
6. SHELF LIFE
12 months in sealed container..
7. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
7.1 Preparation:
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all foreign matter
such as grease etc. Loose or weak flaking material should be
removed. Best results are obtained by the use of an appropriate
Antel cleaner.
Due to the porosity of substrates, it is important to apply a
primer to the substrate in order to seal it. Antel=s water based
epoxy floor primer has been especially developed for this purpose.
7.2 Mixing:
Empty the entire contents of Pack 'B' into Pack 'A' and stir
for 3 minutes. Add water in increments to adjust to desired
viscosity and agitate for a further 3 minutes until uniform.
7.3 Application:
Having allowed the previously applied Antel Floor Primer to
cure, apply by brush or roller. Two coats of floor paint are
recommended, allow 5 hours between primer and first coat and 5
hours between first and second finish coat, depending on
temperature and relative humidity of the surrounding area.
(Coatings should be tack free between applications).
7.4 Curing:
Tack Free Through Cure
at 20°C 65% RH 5 hours 10 hours
at 8°C, 65% RH 12 hours 24-26 hours
Pot life at 20°C 1.5 hours
Pot life at 10°C 2.5 hours
7.5 Cleaning Tools:
Clean tools immediately after use with clean water
8. TYPICAL PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES
Taber abrasion Index (MG) 42 per 1000 cycles.
Chemical Resistance:
Resistant to most dilute alkali systems e.g 10% Sodium
Hydroxide but will NOT withstand acidic attack e.g. Hydrochloric
Acid.
Resistance to vehicular traffic - Good. Resistance to
pedestrian traffic - Excellent. |
